I decided to do my text pot project on suicide prevention. This cause is personally really important and I want people to always know that they aren't ever worthless or broken or alone. I chose the words "you matter" because every single life on this planet matters and has a purpose. I am really sad that it cracked but if anything it gives it more character. It can turn into a message that cracks can be fixed and that everyone has the. I also chose to do a sun behind clouds shape because everyone has to get past their clouds to get to the sun. Overall, I am happy with how this turned out and I think I got the message across.
Dinnerware Set Final:
Overall, I am pretty happy with how these turned out. I think the glaze colors look really cool and it is all cohesive, but I could have spent more time on the glaze. I am glad to have three products and I think that this was a good warmup project.
Dish For A Dish Final:
I decided to make my dish for crab claws which my family really enjoys because my whole mom's side of the family is from Maryland. I thought the glaze was going to turn out darker than it did but I still think it looks really pretty. I am very happy with how this project turned out and I think that is was an overall success.
Teapot Final
Overall, I am pretty happy with these results. Everything is a little heavier than I initially wanted, but it's okay because it isn't too bad. The teapot is fully functional and so are the little cups. I think this project was a success.
Discover Your Path Final
I think this project turned out really well. The only thing I would change would be that two of my glazes that were supposed to be blue turned out very green so I would change the color. I don't think the green looks bad, it just makes it less cohesive. I splattered them all with black glaze which I think turned out looking really cool. They ended up being the right size so I could definitely fit succulents into the bowl shaped pieces. I think this project was fun, but a little stressful because I was trying to finish on time.
